About Dancing Moons Shamanic Centre

Dancing moons is a shamanic centre set in the beautiful countryside of Inch, County Wexford.

In setting up "Dancing Moons" Colm has sought to create an enviroment that would be a sacred and safe place for the "Wounded Warrior", facilitating people's exploration of their own spiritual journey.

After much work the result has been stunning, with an intimate Shamanic centre set in a one acre garden providing space for private meditation. Dancing Moons is a short walk from Croaken Mountain and a ten minute walk from Coolnagloose woods available for reconnecting with nature between sessions. It is a safe space where people can remove themselves from the material world in which we live and look at our interior world where we can find contentment within oneself.

About Shamanism

Existing for over 50,000 years shamanism is known as the oldest healing tradition in the world. Found on every continent, our ancestors have practiced this ancient tradition. Shananism is not a religion it is a methodology. A personal spiritual practice that has no leader or rules, shamanism has adapted to the needs of the peoples and cultures down through the annals of time.

The 'Shamanic way' is to tread lightly on the earth, to embrace and honour all that is around and within us and above all to help those who are lost in the confusion of their own shadow. It is in this way that shamanism has been a means of survival, whether it was to source sustenance for indigenous tribes, healing for their people or bringing information to the community, the way of the shaman remains to this day one of teacher, healer, and mediator.

About the Shaman

It has long been said that the way of the Shaman is the "way of the wounded healer." Shaman literally means "one who sees in the dark." The Shaman travels beyond the matrix of ordinary reality to contact the spirit world to seek healing, knowledge and power to help the individual and the community. The Shaman uses nature as a mirror to assist one seeing within oneself, finding the peoples real passion, their mission and gifts within themselves and the understanding their intimate connection with the earth and its people. They mediate this communion between the individual, the community and the spirit through ritual and ceremony.

How can Shamanism Help You?

There is no magic solution to personal pain and suffering. Shamanism can be a facilitator for your personal desire to change. It can help you open the door and show you the way on your personal journey to recovery in a way that is the most meaningful to you. Dancing Moons provides a safe space within which you can embark upon that journey.
