Drum Making Workshop

One of the main and most important tools used in the "World of Shamanism" is that of the Drum, the drum is representative of "The Heart" and all Shamanic work is generated from the heart. In Dancing Moons ,we honour that very sacred tradition by organising "Drum Making Workshops" where you individually make your own drum , with your own personal intentions brought into the making of it. The different aspects of the making of the drum and your intentions are Shamanically intensified by every piece of your being, blessed by the Shamans that are helping you make the drum. The skins, hides and rims used, are blessed and settled in ceremony prior to you working on your drum.

This is a two day workshop , that allows you to Shamanically individualise your own Drum, for you to work with for many years. It is also a fun time, where you engage with like minded people, enjoying beautiful vegetarian food. There is lots of laughter, you will make new friends and you will return home with a very beautiful drum, that you have made!

Sacred Sites Tour

Join us on a day long journey to 'the Sacred Sites' of your ancestors. Visit 'the Hill of Tara' the burial ground of the High Kings of Ireland. We start our journey with ceremony at 'The Well of the Cow', where we connect with our power animal and those of our ancestors. We visit the Cairns of Lough Criu (the Valley of the Witches). We spend time there in silent meditation before moving onto Fort Knox. Here we invite our ancestors to guide us and help us in the direction of our own sacred path. Forming a drumming circle we awaken in ourselves our ancient connections to this beautiful and powerful land of our ancestors. We return to 'the Hill of Tara' where we have a closing ceremony around the 'Fairy Ruins' again in reverence and recognition of our sacred ruinage.

Medicine Bag Workshop

In a traditional Shamanic way, come join us to learn how to intentionally create your own personal and sacred Medicine Bag.

A Medicine Bag is used for keeping safe some of your smaller shamanic or spiritual tools, for example, stones, smudging sage, crystals, beads, feathers, pendulums, arrow heads and malas.  

During the workshop, each step of creating your leather medicine bag is journeyed or meditated upon, so that it is nurtured and cared for in true shamanic initiation and blessing.

Spend time with like-minded people in the Dancing Moons Shamanic Centre and cottage garden as you explore your own creativity and feel a deep connection to your heart as you create your medicine bag.

All materials are supplied.

Vegetarian lunch and tea and biscuits are included.

Rattle and Prayer Feather

Similar to the Drum Making Workshop we are looking at providing a forum for people whom follow the way of "The Shaman" to have the opportunity to make and create their own individual tool. In this case attendees will create their own "Rattle", "Prayer Feather" and of course their own "Medicine Bag ", these tools again are a very important in the whole ritualisation of Shamanism and for those whom wish to follow the path.

All material for these workshops is supplied and we source our material at cultural outlets only. We try to provide you with the most authentic material available.

Again these workshops are a fun day, in a congenial atmosphere with like minded people, lovely vegetarian food, coffee, and teas throughout the day.

Shamanic Journeying and Meditation

Every Monday night 8pm

Venue: Dancing Moons

A sacred circle is created in order that all who sit within it feel safe and supported as they meditate and later share their personal experience of their journeying. The sacred circle is facilitated by Colm Kiely who presents a new intention each week.

During this meditation those within the circle will journey to their intuitive self whilst listening to original Shamanic music. This method of journeying connects one to their 'true self', and helps them connect and receive messages or images of what their heart wishes them to see

Join Colm Kiely and a community of likeminded people in a Full Moon Drumming Circle.

To the beat of the drum, the Full  Moon is celebrated. To the beat of the drum, your heart’s intention is sent forth into the night. Even if you don’t have a drum, come along with a rattle, tambourine, clap sticks, dancing feet or just hang out.

Everyone is welcome. There are a few spare drums available on the night.
